What happens after you ring

  1. Phone chat

    Twenty minutes at no cost. Alex asks the questions that matter and gives you a straight view of your claim.

  2. Costs agreement

    A short document with the set price for your matter. Nothing starts until you've signed it.

  3. Letters and negotiation

    Alex writes to the other side, files the application and handles conciliation, with an update for you each week.

  4. Hearing, if needed

    Most claims end before this. If yours doesn't, the hearing gets its own quote first.

About Alex

Alex Sample

Every matter stays with Alex from the phone chat to the final letter.

Alex worked at a large commercial firm and then a community legal centre before opening Sample Legal in Fortitude Valley in 2021. There are no juniors or paralegals here, so the person who answers the phone is the one who writes your letters.

Common questions

Does the phone chat cost anything?

No. It runs up to 20 minutes and you're under no obligation afterwards.

Will Alex act for my employer or landlord instead?

Never. Sample Legal only takes on employees and tenants.

Is there a time limit on claims?

An unfair dismissal application must reach the Fair Work Commission within 21 days of the dismissal taking effect. Other claims have their own limits, so ring early.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes, for any fee over $900. Mention it during the phone chat.

Do I have to come into the office?

Only if you'd like to. Meetings happen in Fortitude Valley or by video.
